WALK DAY DETAILS

Make sure to reach out to your team members on how and when they will be arriving at Artesani Park. Parking is free at the park and we strongly encourage you to carpool to make sure there is plenty of room for everyone.
VisionWalk is a completely FREE event! We do not require a pledge per mile or entrance fee. While participants are under no obligation to FFB, we do suggest a minimum donation of $100 per walker.
There is no age requirement. When you navigate through the registration process you will have to check a box to electronically sign a waiver.
In addition, there is no required size to form a team. Teams can be comprised of 2 members to 2,000. We welcome teams of all shapes and sizes!
All participants please check in at the Registration Tent, even if you have pre-registered on the website. If you have donations with you, please turn them in at the Registration Tent as soon as you arrive. Our great volunteers will help you check in and mark down your donation.
**Please convert all cash into checks before arriving at the Walk.Everyone who raises $100 or more will receive an official 2015 VisionWalk T-Shirt. We will have shirts available in sizes small through 3XL.The shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis for sizes. You will be handed a ticket at the Registration Tent and then head over to the T-Shirt Tent to get your choice of size.
The VisionWalk is approximately 5K (3.1 miles) long starting and ending in Artesani Park. We will have signs and lots of enthusiastic volunteers along the route to cheer you on and point you in the right direction. We'll also have a mid-point water station and the opportunity for a little trick-or-treating along the way. Remember, this event will take place RAIN or SHINE! On Saturday, the forecast is calling for clear skies with temperatures in the 50s so please dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes. You can even get another wear out of your Halloween costumes!
Light refreshments are available at the VisionWalk. We'll have plenty of water as well as coffee and hot chocolate. Fruit and granola bars will be on hand along with snacks and donuts.
The Boston VisionWalk is a fantastic event to bring the kids. We will have face painting, mini pumpkin painting and decorating your Halloween Trick-or-Treat bag at the Fun Zone. Big kids -AKA adults- can get their faces painted too!
Before we begin the Walk, we will have a brief stage presentation followed by the Team Spirit award. Make sure your team members are ready to SHOUT to win! We will be recognizing Most Team Spirit, Small but Mighty Team, Best Team T-Shirt, and Largest Team! We will also recognize all those who made it to the All Star Club.
We will have an official photographer at the event so please make sure you gather your team for a photo. And, if you take photos during the Walk, please share them with us. We'll be posting our photos in an album on the VisionWalk website and we can include yours as well. Use #BostonVisionWalk when you post your photos on social media.

watch our thermometer heat up! Checks should be made payable to
"Foundation Fighting Blindness." Please note on your check the name of
the team or walker you would like your donation credited to. We suggest
that you do not send cash through the mail - please convert all cash to
checks or money orders. If you would like your thermometer to heat up faster than the mail can deliver, submit your donation information online first and then mail in your checks.
