Congratulations Tallahassee!!!

It was a beautiful day for the 2^nd Annual Tallahassee VisionWalk! Over 250 participants came out to show their support and enjoy the popcorn, cotton candy, bounce houses, clown and face painter and large assortment of breakfast food including bagels donated by Bagel Bagel Cafe. Blythe Newsome of the Magic Morning Show on 107.1 served as emcee for the second year in a row. James Minnow, the Chief Development Officer of the Foundation Fighting Blindness thanked, the Walk Chairs and participants and gave an update of the progress of current clinical trials. Sharyn and Glen thanked everyone again for the outpouring of support.

It was amazing to see the dedication and support for the VisionWalk. Everyone attending did their part. Over $74,000 was raised in Tallahassee to help the Foundation Fighting Blindness fund research for retinal degenerative diseases.

Our top teams were Mac Attack’rs, who raised an astounding $5,143, followed by Sight Seekers, coming in with $4,885, rounding out third place is Davidson Family and Friends for Sight who raised $4,880.
