Welcome Friend!

I ran my first marathon in 2001, and now, 10 years later I've run a total of 22 marathons. Running marathons is a good challenge, but I want more.

I have set a new challenge for myself as I will turn 50 years old in 2019. The challenge is to run 50 marathons by the time I turn 50 years old (50 by 50). In this new year, 2012, I am currently 42 years old, which means I have 8 years to run 28 marathons. This means I will need to pick up the pace.

As I’m challenging myself, I’m also challenging you, my friends, family and acquaintances. I need you to pick up the pace with me and support me. Your challenge is to make a charitable donation to the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB).

I choose the FFB, because it’s an organization close to my heart. I have run and raise money for them in the past and I think it’s a great organization to keep helping. With your generous contributions one day they will find cures for many eye diseases, which will be beneficial to us and many generations to come.
