Great Job Arizona!!!

GREAT JOB!  It was a beautiful day this past Saturday, February 27th and no rain, as promised, as over 500 walkers and 24 teams participated in the 10th Annual Arizona VisionWalk.  By Walk day, we had raised over $67,000!  With the $2,260 that came in at registration on Saturday, combined with donations received this past week, we are proud to say that this walk has raised nearly $72,000 and counting!  What a great way to kick off the 2016 VisionWalk season!

It is not too late to turn in donations!
If you have any new money that comes in, please send those checks to:

This Walk would not have happened without the dedication of some very important people.

First, our heartfelt thank you to our Chapter President, Jacque Olsen, who has been with the Foundation leading the path over 30 years.  Always here and ready to spread awareness and support VisionWalk, we thank you Jacque for being our heart and soul here in Phoenix.

For all of those who have been at the Walk since it's first year.  Thank you for making 10 years of Arizona VisionWalk great!

To our Emcee, Paul Horton, of CBS 5, for joining us again for a sixth year in a row and for keeping the rain away.  Thank you to Paula Pedene for bringing FFB to Paul's attention.

This year we had some incredible volunteers.  Thank you to the young men from Mountain Point Baseball JV & Varsity teams, our individual volunteers, and of course our veteran registration group:  Dave and Joanne Gustafson, Lance and Marci Cypert, Lisa Cross, Sharon and Tom White, Patty and Rich Wolverton, and Dan Olsen!

Special Thank you to our Event Sponsors:  Arizona Council of the Blind, Associated Retina Consultants, First Premier Bank of South Dakota, Questar Capital, and West Valley Vision Center.

We also want to thank our in-kind donors for providing food, coffee, and water for our walk.  Thank you to Starbucks, Lamar's Donuts, LA Specialty Produce, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Costco, and Trader Joe's.

Huge shout out to our South Dakota walkers of Team Ashley who braved 48 degree weather this past Saturday to walk in solidarity with our mission of finding a cure!

And most importantly.  To all of you.  THANK YOU for all the emails you sent, phone calls you made, letters you wrote, people you asked, over and over again!  Because of you, the Walk is a success!  Because of you, we will keep fighting to find those cures.  And because of you, A Cure Is In Sight!

Your FFB Team,
Donna & Shane
