Greetings Family and Friends,

I am asking for your help today on behalf of my 10 year old son, Jameson Dunn. About 6 months ago, he was diagnosed with a inherited, degenerative eye disease called Stargardt's. No one in my family had ever heard of this disease before. It has quickly caused Jameson to lose almost all of his central vision and he has now been diagnosed as "legally blind". He can only see clearly using his peripheral vision and he has to constantly use magnifiers to help him read or he has to be very near what he is trying to see. Jameson is staying active, as he was before his vision deteriorated. He is playing on a basketball team and taking swim lessons. Although there is promising research taking place, there is no cure for this disease and no treatment. He is managing very well, but some days are a struggle for him. It is heartbreaking to watch him during these difficult times. Recently researchers were able to locate the specific gene responsible for Stargardt's. Now they are trying to find a treatment and a cure. Unless we can help researchers find a cure together, Jameson will have this eye disease for the rest of his life.

We've topped the $2500 mark!!
Hello everyone,
In less than one week, everyone has done a fantastic job of supporting Jameson and others with eye diseases!!
We're over half way to our "NEW" goal of $5000. Let's keep it up and encourage more participation so we can reach, and even beat, our first year's goal!!

Great first day!
Thanks to everyone who donated, posted a message on Facebook, or sent a prayer our way! The support was overwhelming. I am grateful beyond words and in awe of the kindness and generousity displayed by everyone today!
In just the first day we raised $1000!!! I hope to reach and surpass our goal of $2500.
I encourage everyone to continue to pass the word along to everyone in your address books and send a quick email to them about our cause.
