Last year I was living in London and studying for my Master's in International Relations when I unexpectedly went blind due to my degenerative eye disease, Keratoconus. I underwent corneal transplant surgery in both eyes in an effort to restore my sight. While my recovery remains on-going I am hopeful to one day see 20/40 or 20/30 or even 20/20!! I have been blessed with two new functioning corneas and restored sight.
My experiences have inspired me to help others with blinding eye disease. I am participating in South Florida VisionWalk to create awareness and to help raise funds in an effort to cure blindness for retinal degenerative diseases.
You can help restore sight by bringing us closer to a cure by making a donation!
