Thank you to everyone who joined us for a fun Saturday morning on March 22nd for the 6th Annual San Antonio/Austin VisionWalk. We had more than 300 walkers from 31 fantastic teams participate in this year's VisionWalk to help the Foundation Fighting Blindness raise close to $106,000! We were so impressed by the dedication and commitment of the group for joining us....the cloudy weather didn't dampen your enthusiasm.
We want to give a big SHOUT OUT to local San Antonio celebrity, Erica Gonzaba, and DJ Celine for keeping the energy high all morning, and the always famous Spurs Coyote and HEB mascots for getting us warmed up and entertained before the walk!
We want to give a special thanks to our VisionWalk Committee and Leaders:
Steve & Carolyn Browne - FFB Trustees
Todd & Meredith Dunn - San Antonio Chapter Co-Presidents
Shawna Seick - Let There Be Light team captain
Edyie Gonzaba - Georgie's Retinal Runners team captain
Thank you to our amazing and dedicated volunteers who went above and beyond on Saturday including the San Antonio Firefighter Cadets who helped with everything between set up and break down, Walmart for not only providing breakfast but for assisting in serving both breakfast and lunch, the UTSA Pre-Dental Society for helping with the kids activities, and lastly our awesome registration crew from Kohl's.
